Dear Aggies,

I shall not say welcome to Allahabad . This place and particularly the Institute, has been a second home to most of us for at least 5 years and so I shall simply say "Welcome Home".

As in all things good, it is the people concerned that make it so and I think we were fortunate to have studied in an environment which brought out the best in us. I am sure most of you will agree that this has to a large extent contributed to what we are today.  In spite of us coming from diverse backgrounds, we learnt to live together, ignorant of the barriers of caste, creed, religion or country, which in turn has given us a treasure chest full of friends from every corner of the earth. It is because of this that we find ourselves traversing land and sea, to come together and pay tribute to the Institute on its centenary year.
 
Change is inevitable and when you visit the institute you will find the small institute we knew has come a long way, having grown into a formidable deemed to be university. So as we go into the next century I sincerely hope, that whatever may be the changes that take place in the Institute, let the ignorance of barriers be preserved.

On behalf of all the organisers, I extend a warm welcome to you, your family and friends.  We assure you that every effort is being made to not only enable you to relive your memories but make your visit here an enjoyable one.

I have just one request and that is for you all to please register and book your rooms early. Allahabad has a paucity of good rooms and if you delay, you may just not get the hotel of your choice. In addition to the hotels, a few friends and colleagues have kindly offered to put up house guests. Those interested may please contact the undersigned directly for details.

I would also like to mention that your e-mail id will be your unique identification for all administrative purposes and therefore request you to enter it wherever requested for.
